About Us

unnamed (2).jpg

The Cedar Park Color Guard is an award-winning

program of excellence. Being involved in this

rewarding activity provides teenagers with the

benefits of work ethic, time management, self-

esteem, friendship, and fun.

Modern Color Guard is a combination of the use of

flags, sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment, as

well as dance and other interpretive movement.

Our High School and Middle School Guard programs

have worked hard to become a nationally known

talent, and our members are extremely dedicated in their commitment to excellence.

We would like to continue to grow our

program by building community awareness and

participation and that starts with you!

Color Guard Seasons

Summer & Fall

The High School color guard rehearses and performs with the Cedar Park High School Timberwolf Marching Band. This nationally known, award-winning marching band is currently 200+ members.

Rehearsals begin in July, the season continues through the beginning of November, culminating at the Bands of America (BOA) San Antonio Super Regional Championships and/ or University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Marching Contest, where we are the reigning 5A State Back- To Back- To Back- To Back Champions!

The Fall for the Middle School is a training season where the guard performs at pep rallies and High School Football games.

In November, the program focus turns to Winter Guard. Winter Guard concentrates on performing indoors and competing against other color guard teams. Winter guards can be found in high schools, middle schools, some universities, and also some independent organizations.

The Cedar Park Guard program supports 3 ensembles:  middle school, high school JV and high school Varsity guards.  The structure of our program allows us to provide varying levels of guard experience to our middle school and high school members.

We create all new shows for our Winter season.  Our Units compete in two winter guard circuits similar to marching band:  a local called Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) and a International circuit called Winter Guard International (WGI).
